  पूर्वोत्तर मानसून   (northeast monsoon) अर्थात् शीतकालीन मानसून पिछले दिनों समाप्त हुआ. इस बार कुल मिलाकर इस समय औसत से अधिक वृष्टिपात हुआ. एक बड़ी विरल घटना यह हुई कि जिस दिन  दक्षिण-पश्चिम का मानसून  समाप्त हुआ, उसी दिन शीतकालीन मानसून चालू हुआ. पूर्वोत्तर (शीतकालीन) मानसून क्या है? उत्तर भारत के लोग इस मानसून के बारे में कम जानते हैं. परन्तु यह मानसून भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप की जलवायु प्रणाली का उतना ही स्थायी अंग है जितना कि ग्रीष्मकालीन अर्थात् दक्षिण-पश्चिम मानसून. भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (India Meteorological Department – IMD) के अनुसार पूर्वोत्तर मानसून  अक्टूबर से दिसम्बर  तक चलता है. इस अवधि में तमिलनाडु, केरल और आंध्र प्रदेश के साथ-साथ तेलंगाना और कर्नाटक के कुछ भागों में वृष्टिपात होता है. पूर्वोत्तर और दक्षिण-पश्चिम मानसून में अंतर जैसा कि नाम से ही पता चलता है कि पूर्वोत्तर मानसून की दिशा पूर्वोत्तर से दक्षिण-पश्चिम होती है. उसी प्रकार दक्षिण-पश्चिम मानसून की दिशा इसके ठीक उल्टी अर्थात् दक्षिण-पश्चिम से पूर्वोत्तर होती है. पूर्वोत्तर मानसून कब आता है? सामान्यतः यह मानसून 20 अक

मानव विकास को मानव विकास सूचकांक (Human Development Index, HDI) के रूप में मापा जाता है. इसे मानव विकास की आधारभूत उपलब्धियों पर निर्धारित एक साधारण समिश्र सूचक (composite indicator) के रूप में मापा जाता है और विभिन्न देशों द्वारा   स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा तथा संसाधनों तक पहुँच   के क्षेत्र में की गई उन्नति के आधार पर उन्हें श्रेणी (rank) प्रदान करता है. यह श्रेणी   0 से 1 के बीच   के स्कोर पर आधारित होता है, जो एक देश, मानव विकास के महत्त्वपूर्ण सूचकों में अपने रिकॉर्ड से प्राप्त करता है. मानव विकास सूचकांक UNDP (United Nation Development Programme) द्वारा नापा जाता है.   UNDP   का headquarter न्यूयॉर्क में है. इसकी स्थापना 1965 को हुई थी. चलिए जानते हैं मानव विकास सूचकांक क्या होता है और इसको मापने के लिए किन पैमानों (measures) का प्रयोग किया जाता है? स्वास्थ्य स्वास्थ्य के सूचक को निश्चित करने के लिए जन्म के समय जीवन-प्रत्याशा को चुना गया है. इसका अर्थ यह है कि लोगों को लम्बा एवं स्वास्थ्य जीवन व्यतीत करने का अवसर मिलता है. जितनी उच्च जीवन-प्रत्याशा होगी, उतनी ही अधिक विकास का सूचकांक (HD

चन्द्र ग्रहण कैसे होता है? INFORMATION ABOUT LUNAR ECLIPSE IN HINDI

  साधारणतः पूर्णिमा की रात को चंद्रमा पूर्णतः गोलाकार दिखाई पड़ना चाहिए, किन्तु कभी-कभी अपवादस्वरूप चंद्रमा के पूर्ण बिम्ब पर धनुष या हँसिया के आकार की काली परछाई दिखाई देने लगती है. कभी-कभी यह छाया चाँद को पूर्ण रूप से ढँक लेती है. पहली स्थिति को   चन्द्र अंश ग्रहण या खंड-ग्रहण  (partial lunar eclipse) कहते हैं और दूसरी स्थिति को   चन्द्र पूर्ण ग्रहण या खग्रास  (total lunar eclipse) कहते हैं. चंद्र ग्रहण कब लगता है? चंद्रमा सूर्य से प्रकाश प्राप्त करता है. उपग्रह होने के नाते चंद्रमा अपने अंडाकार कक्ष-तल पर पृथ्वी का लगभग एक माह में पूरा चक्कर लगा लेता है. चंद्रमा और पृथ्वी के कक्ष तल एक दूसरे पर 5° का कोण बनाते हुए दो स्थानों पर काटते हैं. इन स्थानों को  ग्रंथि  कहते हैं. साधारणतः चंद्रमा और पृथ्वी परिक्रमण करते हुए सूर्य की सीधी रेखा में नहीं आते हैं इसलिए पृथ्वी की छाया चंद्रमा पर नहीं पड़ पाती है. किन्तु पूर्णिमा की रात्रि को परिक्रमण करता हुआ चंद्रमा पृथ्वी के कक्ष (orbit) के समीप पहुँच जाए और पृथ्वी की स्थिति सूर्य और चंद्रमा के बीच ठीक एक सीध में  हो तो पृथ्वी की छाया चंद्रमा पर
